Wait! I got a hang of Linden’s family situation. So the King’s current wife is Marian but she’s mentally ill so she’s not seen in public and his son is Michael so legally wise he should be the crown prince but Linden is older than him. While Rebecca was the King truly loved but she can’t be a queen (they have 3 kids Evelyn, Linden, and the prince who died in the war) and she committed s*icide with Evelyn and Linden saw it in front of him. That’s why even though Michael and him are fine as brothers, he still want to take revenge on Michael’s maternal side. I also think Michael was never on his maternal side but rather supports Linden’s intentions.
