imma be honest with you i have read the novel,it wasn’t complete idk if there’s a complete version but alice has this dual personality with individual memories in it,like that boy she was with when trying to run away they know each other in the other alice smith memories but not the memories of her now,jack knew abt her illness and idk remember much but he treated her very well like a treasure i dont really know if he liked her as the one or as a family but yeh he was there for her he never gets old obviously and he protect her in every way the two alice have way different personalities and have different closeness to jack anyway idk who will win alice or cara who would ml pick since they never finished it i hope the author would make the opportunity to make the decision her/him self
