Lol how is getting revenge exclusively a Chinese thing? Everyone regardless of race wants revenge. If someone almost kill your disciple, daughter, son, or whoever is close to you, you don’t want revenge? You just say “Oh well” and move on in life?
The thing is, revenge is alright in a story BUT what usually happens in Chinese Manhuas is that if MC kills one character, the relatives of that character will take revenge and the relatives of those relatives will also take revenge so on and so forth until it gets boring. It’s stupid. It’s bland and unoriginal.
