I imagine the issue is that it’d be difficult to push her loyalty higher when she’s already so devoted to him. It’s not like she started at zero.

So the character is playing as a fake male likely as protection against people that don’t respect females, translators occasionally mess up and give the correct sex for her in the translation but the MC has yet to figure out that they’re actually female and keeps comically misunderstanding things. He’s definitely not kidding about never having a girl in his past or present life.

I like an MC like this that actually wants to go around helping clean things up and make the world better for innocents. Even if they’re doing it for cynical, greedy and practical reasons not noble ones you still have to praise them for doing their best to help people.

Totally nice guy but once you cross his bottom line like this monster the MC will bring suffering like has never been seen before to the villain so that they can receive back what they’ve given out over their lifetime of evil.
