I feel like another thing he is forgetting is that the mom dying and the daughter being taken away by the tower is not her only misfortune. Her relationship with her father is also likely going to be one. I know he is as focused as he can be on preventing anything bad from happening and for that he and his “wife” have to get stronger, which means dungeon running which is too dangerous for his daughter to go (hurry up and get married already!!!!!), but he also needs to remember to spend time with her to strengthen their relationship and try to give her a good childhood.
