Sorry but that makes 0 sense. Imagine what huge amounts of calories that thing needs to sustain itself. Just that bite alone took more energy than he could ever get from a boat full of people let alone 1 adult and 2 children. When there is WAY EASIER PRAY in form of other maritime life, such as whales that were shown before, it makes no sense to hunt humans.

Interesting setting but author has 0 understanding of biology or how sea creatures work in general therefore it’s painful to read like a story by a grade schooler who doesn’t know how shit works.
It makes absolutely 0 sense for those huge sea creatures to actively hunt humans when they expand more energy in doing so than they could ever get from eating a few humans, when the rest of the ocean is full of easier prey in form of whales for example (shown in chapter 2)
