I feel dumb for pitting him, but I kind of forgive him. He was blind about his own feelings and it was immature for him to treat her how he did. I feel as if his character has developed from, “I love her now, what more did she need? I’m taking her no matter what.” to “I just want to know how far you’ve come without me, and I made so many mistakes. I’m willing to have you at whatever costs, but I don’t want to force you.
