Remember she goes back in time, she knows what’ll happen in the future and her mother is spewing some clues about her father but she was still acting naive and ignorant to not notice it. There are so much more she can do. She can prevent her mother’s death, also she can defend her mother from the villagers. She knows what that villain can do and about to do but still doesn’t create a plan to stop it. Just because she’s in a child’s body doesn’t mean she can’t do anything.
