Ok I don’t think it’s fair of her to say, after what he did to her. Could he have saved her sooner, and not only once she promised him something? Yes. But she was the one who took the chance to come to the lake, and would have been attacked by the monster either way. He didn’t turn her into a vampire. She still would have been just as injured even if he had acted earlier, and he took her home and didn’t punish her family for her trespassing.
