you are expecting way way way way way way way way way too much from this genre authors, if they have to create new named characters with backstory, background, abilities, strength, etc for every couple of chapters, there would be barely any new updates, they just “recycle” and “extend” conflict, to drive the story forward in the term of “word count” for novels, or “chapters” for manhuas.
