Wouldn’t be a restart novel without parents being brutally murdered along with the rest of his loved ones. So he has to power himself up in just 8 years AND attempt to get them powered up too.

Seems like he wasted part of the opportunity of those 8 years not getting his parents to work hard and train themselves. He should have been able to work out some way to get them to train, if only by making them think they were training him instead of the other way around.

Here I was thinking he’d have to deal with the fact that she has no idea who he is and being unable to reforge what he had in his past life but instead they’re actually fated to be together. Helps explain his obsession in both lives with her and trying to protect her in this life and avenge her in the previous.

Didn’t see that coming. He’s got a protagonist background but failed to become a protagonist. If MC tells him about his own restart next chapter they might manage to get along well.

While I hoped he’d share his own experience with the poor guy maybe the MC will later. Maybe he didn’t share because he didn’t want the guy to know that unlike him the MC really is getting a second chance to save those he loves and doesn’t want him feeling that ‘why can’t that be me?’ kind of feeling. As it is totally not surprised the corrupt, evil church has been murdering the innocent in the name of their god for centuries if not millenia.
