So, this opinion is going to be unpopular. Judging by the comics alone…I am not as onboard with hating the ml. Not to say I think he is right, because I think he has been horrible.
But, he has also been a victim. He has suffered horribly at the hands of the fl’s father (just as she has). It has been shown more than once that when he sees her, he is also seeing the resemblance to the one that hurt him.
Essentially FL is a trigger to his trauma.
Now, that being said, he is still horrible. He dumps his trauma on her as a proxy, and its bull crap. He does nothing to help himself get over what happened, or actually stop being horrible.
But he’s certainly not the same as sovieshu, or other self absorbed idiots.
He’s a traumatized self absorbed idiot. But I do think it’s important to not the distinction.
Still don’t like him, tho.

Darkannex exactly what I think. Like I GET it, but at the same time there were better ways to go about things. This guy just sucks.
