I have mixed feelings for MC.
I like and hate her naivety and simplicity.
Having been reading manhuas from different genras, to historical, wether they got female MC or male, and from romance, comedy, suspense, ranker and action. I could say that I somehow know what a good story is to not. I’m not judging a manhua based on their art, I myself is a reader of hunter x hunter which is known for not having good art now a days that it’s not about art but the story itself.
And based on that I could tell that this story is good, but not so good. It has it’s flaws like any other story but what makes this manhua unique (for me) is that, the imperfections are also it’s asset. Like the MCs personality. Being too naive like you’re not at you 20’s is not normal and kinda… Annoying. But! That’s make her cute (for the good hearted people.) But if you’re the strong hearted type… You might find her personality to be annoying and kinda stagnant. She doesn’t learn. For example, she keeps on telling herself that she won’t make the same fate what she saw in her dream. But she’s still working for the imperial family and have this beliefs of “I will give my life for the imperial family.”
Wasn’t the emperor thee HEAD of the imperial family? So what is this hypocrisy she’s spouting of wanting to give her life for the “royal FAMILY”. Family means no special person but plural, a group of people. And if she really was this strong headed to give her life for the “royal family” why is she changing her future to avoid the emperor. She should just do it again, be the emperor or any prince dog since she want to die for the imperial family. I’ll be fucking remember this because this was given a point by the manhua. This is a big loop hole I’m seeing.
She having friend who are willing to help and cover for her makes up for her “nativity” (yet again, she’s like someone who didn’t grew from her teen days mentality) she lived for 20 years of age and still not learning? Wait…. Except of she’s….. Automatic?
