Shen YuHua is one of the many daughters of the great Sect leader littering the grand palace of the Lihua palace (里华宫) sect, Due to her obvious lack of talent for cultivation and martial arts, she lives a neglected, but quiet life, accompanied by her seemingly helpless servant, “Swallowtail”. Constantly ostracized and mocked for failing to find a good husband, Yuhua meets Leng Feng who finally seems to be the right match, but the matchmaking session quickly spirals out of control when YuHua is subsequently kidnapped by demons. In a twisted turn of events, Yuhua is taken in by a powerful and ancient demon, Chu Tian, who resolves to teach her the deadly art of face changing. Dragged into a never-ending conflict between demons and humans, Yuhua begins to question everything she has ever learned inside her sheltered palace about morality and her family.

She’s an idiot. She knew his father is not a good person, even killing her mother and abandoning her, yet just because they can see she has potential and being nice to her (maybe to use her) she’s all stuttering and submissive to them. I do understand that it’s her upbringing after all the abuse and neglect, but can’t she think of what happened to her. She’s not thinking to change for her own good, she would like to stay the same as before just because she was sshown little “kindness”. Naive…. She never changed.
Miss Girl
Girl was taken aback and people already made a whole paragraph on how “abused girls never change” smh.
Nirii
He’ll nah girl you better punch that shit ass of a father in the face

…the demon is… gae? Did he perhaps try to seduce her father? Was that why he was sealed in the abyss but not much record of him could be found?

This one is really good. The way a novel narration-style is imbued in the manhua makes it unique, and I don’t know about the original writings, but the translation is exquisite! I so so love this!
