By reading all the comments after just finishing the novel is making my blood boil. First of Dory’s brother is getting manipulated by Theon. If you’ve just see his true intentions it’s more worse than Ethan. Ethan manipulated Dorothea so that she would feel the things she’s been wanting since her childhood to be more higher than her brother, and when Dory died he turned back time (what was literally against the rules) so that Dorothea and Ethan would have a new start with no bull*hits

Also also, she literally lived a lifetime before where she basically tortured Theon trying to make him love her; them wounds run deep, and she doesn’t want to repeat the past. She is just now starting to learn what love is without obsession; in other words, cut her some slack.
