While I haven’t gotten there yet, this human king will die later, the dwarves will die in 1 or 2 chapters by my guess of how the story is going so far, that is because how the king behaved, this odd cat, will free art and silv, kill the dwarves and threaten the humans.
I may be wrong though.
This is me just extrapolating from other stories that while different, have similar plot drivers and devices, its what makes the most sense, in order to allow art to leave for the other continent with ease of heart, his family will be placed somewhere safe, 2 of the 4 biggest enemies (king and queen of dwarves) will be killed, the other 2 will be threatened into submission, and art will be taken away.
