Lol, that people is the one who mistreat Ariadne and would abuse and kill her the same way they did it in her past life if she allowed it. Literally that persons are the one who made Ariadne a bad bitch as you say, I’m not saying that everything that she do is alright or that she is an angel, I am saying that if she don’t do that wicked things she will be ill-treated the same way they did it in her past life. Ariadne being ‘evil’ is only to those who was evil in her past life and still even in this present life. A wife who did corruption in her own family is at wrong too, even though you’re right about the father also made a mistake cheating with a maid – but don’t forget that the children of the ones who cheated don’t deserve to be treated as the villains, they do not have the option to choose their parents (including in real life, so if a legal wife abuse the illegitimate child, they’re really wrong)
A sister who tried to kill her and manipulated her husband (and betrayed her own husband) in the past life; and in the present life she still prove her evilness by making false accusations, sabotaging her sister, etc., does the current Ariadne deserve to be called evil just because she wants to win over this evil sister? Don’t forget that Ariadne knows that her little sister has the potential to be good even though in their first encounters she was also rude to Ariadne, despite those bad treatments, she still tried to educate her little sister to be a good girl and genuinely want to cancel her death.

Which part… mmm remember the whole plot to kill alfonso… the old lady that just said stupid thing of her when she has already been a btch in her past life. She care more for the destiny and macro events than Alfonso happiness. She has done good things for other people… maybe, but It was not out of good intentions. The mistress of the cardinal has done things like that and just because she is not the main character, not that intelligent and old you are not recognizing the things she has done for her own family sending them money and trying to help her daughter… so yeah it depends on the point of view.

You read my comment in the next chapter, right? In that comment I stated about my view of Ariadne past, that she was evil that is. You can read it again bcs rn I’m too lazy to type that whole essay of mine. Briefly, the evil Ariadne got her karma, I don’t even deny her past evil self in that comment of mine (in the next chapter, to be precise), but also, the background story. If you want to talk about how the mother is not evil because she just wants to protect her family (her background story of doing bad deeds), Ariadne also had a background story for her past evil self; but I don’t justify her past deeds, never.
What I’m saying about which part is she evil is her current life. Again, reread my comment in the next chapter that you just replied. Ari got her karma and she has good and bad side like how typical human does, and environment can shape us to which direction. In the current life, she defend herself. If the person still have kindness/can change, she won’t fight that person (e.g., Arabella) and even grow fond of them. That’s normal. The mother still wants to fight her, she fight back. And Isabella is indeed an evil woman, she betrayed her husband (Alfonso) and sister in the past, and she did bad things again in the current life, she even threw away her little sister for not siding with her, sabotage her sister and friends, etc. In that situation, is the current Ariadne evil for defending herself?

Wow, I haven’t seen this before and I’m glad that someone did it. I really like Ariadne, but not because of his revenge/justice traits. I like the evilness that she has in her intentions. Even when this people were treating her badly before she also did horrible things. Regretting but then taking advantage is evil. She is better just for helping people that care for her… so each person do it…

In my honest opinion i really like how this manga portrays the truth in our reality. The characters show the true nature of human and how they come to be depending on how they were raised and the environment they lived. My favorite character so far is the fl and red haired guy (bad with names lol)

Ari was once evil, I agree. However, I said “is” (means at her current lifetime). Ari in her previous life did terrible things, yes. But what I see here is, she is genuinely a kind-hearted woman that just like other people, has potential to be good or bad. Her situations made her chose the wrong path (being treated as a dirty illegitimate daughter in her family, etc. + the feeling of suddenly being treated nice by Cesare that made her love him blindly in that harsh life of hers), which still cannot be justified, hence she is punished by the betrayal of her husband (Cesare) and sister. After the regression, she becomes aware that that bad husband isn’t worth to be followed and that his love for her was fake. She’s finally being herself, chooses to stand strong for her principles, and chooses to not falter again. However, the person I talked about in my first comment seems like labeling Ari as evil because of the previous chapter where Ari refused to cooperate with her mom 😓
And why did I say Ari isn’t evil because of her love for Arabella? Don’t forget that Arabella also despised her at first (and most probably in her past life), but Ari can think rationally that Arabella is still a child that is affected by the environment and doesn’t drown to hatred to Arabella. That is a sign of kindness. Did I say Ari being a saint? Nah, I never said that. But evil in her current life? Not either. She is not a saint nor an evil woman. For me, she is a normal human who can be bad and good, her judgement of something can be affected by the environment (in the previous life she became lost because of her inability to cope well with her calamity, but then after she learn that the calamity won’t end if she did bad things, she chose the different option)

Some people like to explain things in a long essay, just like me. We feel content by thinking that we don’t miss the detail. Yes, I’m not ashamed of it. And yes, I never said Ari is a saint or something like that. Honestly, the fact that this manhwa’s MC is not a saint-type of MC is one of the unique characteristics that it has. Sometimes it’s refreshing to read this kind of story (with not so good MC but still has a good side)

Ari is so strong and smart even in the past she was smart too . The only mistake she did in the past was falling in love with Cesare. Cesare is smart and cunning too . Like a sly fox . But I think he has more potential than Alfonso. Even if he is evil he can handle situation better. If he was a good person and loved Ari genuinely they could have made a strong couple. But he is trash . ( He is obsessed with what Alfonso has. I don’t think he actually love Ari) Alfonso is really good person and I really like him ( even Ari likes him) . Yes. I think that’s one of the key points of this manhwa. The author wants to make a MC with not-so-good personality. She looks more human than some other MCs with pure heart and no hatred kinds. She is not even evil in her current life, nor she is a saint, just like many other people who has kind heart but at the same time have a vengeful side when the same people keep harassing her. The point is she doesn’t want to harm innocent people again and even can look into the kind nature of some people (e.g., Arabella). She didn’t falsely accuse her mother, she exposed her mother’s wrong deeds because her mother keep harassing her. It’s ok to have different stories. It would be so boring if every isekai manhwas have similar MCs. As long as she becomes a better person, I think it’s ok
