I hate him in the past life, but I’m neutral to his current self. He may be sly and full of trick, but there can be incident that will change him in the future, maybe become less evil than what he supposed to be? But definitely not for the FL. He was so bad to her in the previous life, it won’t be fair for the FL to fall in love with him again after such tragedy

Noup! No, no and no. A thousand time NO! Count Cesare does not and will never deserve Aridne. For those starting to root for him, let me remind you that only one episode ago he was playing around with married women for fun! And that he played with our Aridne for TEN freaking years, passively harassing and raping her, to ultimately betray her to marry someone else. He is NOT trust worthy. Don’t fall in the “sweet as honey talk” of Cesare only because you are frustrated about our dear silly weak-willed prince. I am too, be Aridne deserve better. And if Prince Charming does not have the courage to fight for her then he doesn’t deserve her either.
Sidenote though, I wish Aridne was a more honest with her feelings for Prince charming, that may help them move along a bit….

I agree with this one too, lol. His past life is so messed up and too evil. Nothing can justify his foul manner to the MC in her past life. But… I understand that bad things can affect a person, so I genuinely sympathize with him. I want him to be a better person in his current life, but I don’t want him to be the ML. His current “kindness” can’t nullify his evil potential, since he’s kind because the MC is interesting for him for this lifetime. But tbh I’m not sure about the current Alphonso ?
For now, Ariadne being single is better, but let’s see, maybe there will be a huge character development for Alphonso. Again, Cesare’s character development is what I’ll be happy with too, but still, being a ML is too much for him because of his past action to the MC (and it means he has the potential to be that bad to the MC). But actually, we also don’t know his perspective tho, maybe the MC, as a human who can make mistakes, did bad things to Cesare too, and it made him hate her and manipulated her because he thinks that she might become a potential enemy (but I doubt it because it’ll be too complex and usually the MC is portrayed as the most victimized lol)

Agree. He just want to have Ariadne’s heart, because she seems hard to get and interesting, unlike the girls he had already won over. I believe that it’s not love, at least if it’s in reality. He just want to win this “new” challenge, since he’s to used to the girls who were always accept him easily.

I don’t know what the author is thinking (their idea about what kind of a person Cesare is). I have a feeling that they want to make him become a better person in this MC’s second life. I agree with that, because he has that side of him that is still in a neutral side, unlike Isabella. But for him to be the ML is what I’m afraid of.
If it’s real life, Cesare is definitely a red flag. For me, even if he seems sincere now, that’s how a possessive and narcissistic person can do: when they got the attention they take it for granted, when they don’t get the attention they will strive for it; and that’s definitely not healthy, especially in the future. If it’s in real life, someone like the “sincere version” of Cesare is unintentionally manipulative (he might be not even know that he isn’t really sincere), he thinks that “I really love you, my heart won’t change”, but as the time goes by, he can be easily swayed by someone else that he hasn’t “own” yet. I met at least one person who is definitely like what I described before. So, unlike many people who become fond of Cesare, I still won’t be happy to see him as the ML, even though the current Alphonso looks a little “weak” as the ML imo (but he’s still a teenager in this timeline).
I’d love to see many characters who were originally villains become good people because of some variables, but Cesare being the ML is too much for me. Nothing personal to the author tho, lol. It’s just a countermeasure if the author decides to make him the ML, at least I prepare my heart by knowing that possibility
