Kind of reminds me of a villain from the old Superfriends comic. He wanted to create the ultimate composite villain to defeat the Superfriends so he captured hundreds of super-villains to kill and create one merged being from. He commented on how his actions had actually made the universe better off by killing all the scum for his scheme, while here the MC is out for his own selfishness but by luring in all the high powered monsters like this he’s inadvertently doing a good deed by wiping them out.
