   Man, normally these back-in-time villainess stories begin right before she gets killed, and then she wakes up and quickly grasps her situation, and resolves to change how things went.

   This one drags you through twenty-something chapters of mounting romantic tragedy, twists the knife, and only then allows her to go back in time, and even I didn’t realize that had happened at first. I was right there with her–oh, she must have survived the poison, and maybe there’s some weird alternate-universe thing going on.

   Nope, it’s a story you’re very familiar with, but now you, the reader, are just as upset and bewildered as the protagonist, and even more invested in her clawing her way back out of the mire and grasping happiness. They didn’t change the formula one goddamn bit for this manhwa, they just made sure you were THERE for it.

   I’d be annoyed if I wasn’t so damn impressed and invested in the story.
