the empress being almost assassinated and got injured was a big problem but all knights saving only her was also a big problem itself she didn’t even tell them to save peony and richt herself she only said the last sentence that she was the one who took peony but barely took responsibility while peony was almost assaulted and got rape and almost died by her chronic illness just bc someone ask her to visit someone and in the end no one of the knights wanted to save her when the empreror and empress was the one who invited her in the palace in the first place if she wasn’t fortunate she either die bc of her illness or suicide for being rape

What are they getting mad for? grand duke is already banished so he’s not like he still sworn his loyalty to the empire, which u know banished him even tho it’s part of their plan, even if im the grand duke I’ll choose my fiance ? anyways that spy must have been married or had a lover which the grand duke killed during their treason play so she’s getting revenged
