My Honest Opinion.

You will see a bunch of useless reviews of this but here goes my honest opinion.

Review

It is an intriguing story that follows an unorthodox setting to set up the characters and the story. We see an abused Female Leas, but unlike other stories, the Male Lead is not introduced as a saviour. He is rather introduced as an alternative. The romance doesn’t seem rushed and the progression of the story is pretty solid. You might think that the entire story being 49 chapters is way too short, but this is the panel that would make you change your mind about this particular aspect. There is complete plot development and story progression in the panel and it ends very well.

Summary

Karinne is the daughter of Viscount Tyrian who is extremely beautiful will silver hair and pale skin. Her beauty attracts the eyes of Count Burpo who lusts after her body and wants to claim her as a trophy and a concubine. Viscount Tyria is also a vile human stain who beat Karinne’s mother to death and that trauma resonates with Karinne even after many years. To prevent herself from being sold Karinne sneaks out of the Tyrion manor and goes to a nearby Pub where she happens to cross paths with Baster Cyanne who she sees stumbling in a dark alley. Not knowing he is the Grand Duke, she boldly requests that she sleep with him in return for her offering him aid. Six months later, she is rejected by count Bupo because she is visibly pregnant and unable to fulfil his depraved fantasies. Fast forward three years, she is being heavily abused by her father and being treated like a maid. She is informed by her father that he found someone to sell her off to and that he is even willing to accept her son. what a surprise it Is when she meets that person and that person happens to be Baster Cyanne, the Grand Duke she slept with 3 years ago. At first, Baster is rather cold towards Karrine and her son Nittence but slowly warms up to them through Nittence as a medium. As the story progresses, we see that the Grand Duke has a complicated past and had a visual issue during their night together. he is unable to recognize Karinne and thus an imposter pretending to be the girl who slept with the Duke three years ago comes into their lives. As the story progresses, both Karin and Baster are approached by one other suitor but both blatantly deny their advances and focus on furthering their relationship with each other. In the end, Baster discovers the truth about Karinne and about Nittence being his biological son, and Karinne is reinforced by Baster and his companions into regaining her confidence and becoming a proper Grand Duchess. Towards the end of the story there is not much development of the romance plotline, but rather, there is the fact of justice being dished out to the people who wronged Karinne, Count Bupo gets his due and everything ends happily, with Baster realising that there is no greater treasure than love in this world.

Overall I would give a solid 8.9/10 for this story. It has a good romance plotline and the worldbuilding was done in a constructive and appropriate manner. The character progression is not rushed given the short nature of the story and the side characters are surprisingly well-written with proper basic backgrounds. All in all, quite a good story that needs to be enjoyed. The romance and the story progression may be generic, but it is quite unlike other romance comics and quite enjoyable.

This is a manga worth reading. I could tell the author thought a lot about the plot and be realistic as possible (although some decisions were obviously not smart)
