I think he means that “he” Rael can’t exist if he was born again in this time line.
Because if it was Lucy then there is no problem in living in the same time line as her reborn brother.
He think that he (the old one) will die or disappear if he was born again.

I think it’s Real, if both can’t exist at the same time. My assumption is for once he is born in this current timeline, he may no longer be able to exist. Real was also mentioned to be able to pick up on Cassias emotions. Also his current name is Realgo
