   why do I have the feeling the duke might have memories of his pat life too? that’s why he’s doing this a little different, and says that the third prince getting married isn’t insignificant news/wants to know more.

      While he could remember, and is keeping an eye on them this time because of it, it could also just be that now that the third prince, who no one thought would have a chance for the throne, is the first one married, and thus the only only current candidate with a secondary family backing him, it’s now part of his interest to keep an eye ok it
