  Hmm she made herself suffer, which is why she said in an earlier chapter when they finally started talking to each other that;
  “we were young an inexperienced, we were unable to communicate”.
  
  It is a typical trope in these kinds of stories.
  
  She was unable to tell him her feelings, and what happened even when they were starting to bound. He didn’t tell her his feelings and thus they never expressed their feelings.
  The mother and sister was manipulated but is on a higher tier of the blame pyramid when it comes to causing harm, with the bitch that is in prison and the guy that drugged her at the first and second place.
  
  This is essentially two teenagers being in love, but neither actually confessing and then getting ass mad that the other talks to other people. Just with casual drugging and attempts at ruining other peoples lives.
